Picture overload...but we had such a good time last night! Ben finished up his first track season last night with the Little Green Classic in which he ran a 100m.

Each child that participated in track received a plaque with their picture in it after they walked the "Parade of Champions" to start off the evenings events. Ben handled it all well, considering he cried at any mention of the night prior to going on Tuesday. He did cry as he was running, but he finished 5
th! Which was exciting because he so wanted a green ribbon! The first thing he said is that it matched his shirt. All the time God is good!

Cousins Cassie and Ella with Avery in the stands.

Grandpa Tim and Grandma Norma with our little track star. Thank you guys so much for driving 3 hours just to watch Ben run, it really meant a lot to us!

After the meet my sister wanted to walk around
Wesleyan's campus to show her kids where she and my brother-in-law, Dave went to college. The kids had a blast running around and it was just a beautiful evening.

All the
Mitzel grandkids.

Ben was spoiled with both sets of grandparents coming down to watch him. Thank you Grandpa Dave and Grandma Linda for driving all the way from Alliance. I know that Ben really enjoyed having you guys here
(and the ice cream was a nice touch.)

I scream you scream we all scream for ice cream...
Ben officially ended his first track season. Not sure if he will want to do it again next year. He started out the year, just loving it! But, the last few times he has fought it more and more. Not quite sure why. Could be that it got more competitive, less fun stuff like the obstacle course. Maybe it got to hot. Maybe someone was teasing him. Maybe he was over scheduled with swim lessons two nights, track and VBS. We will probably never know, but we are so proud of him. Getting out there all by himself and doing it! Josh and I have learned that growing pains don't just hurt the kids. The parents feel it too. But, we made it to the end, finished our commitment experienced some growing pains and hopefully had some fun at the same time.
Those growing pains stink!! Good job Ben on sticking it out- Eliot is very proud of you too!!
