Last Friday, Ben was chosen as the upcoming Star Student of the Week. He was very excited, as you are the star for the entire next week. And, I can see why. The student gets to bring home a backpack full of fun things. The backpack is filled with age appropriate reading books. Colorful cubes for sorting, counting and building. Animal puzzles with plastic color shapes. Crayons, pencils, scissors, sticker, "all about me" sheet and the estimation jar.
Of course there are projects associated with the honor. And, it fell on a good weekend for us as Josh was gone for the NU/Iowa State game. It gave me something to do with the kids. Ben and I stole some quiet time together to work on the project as both the girls fell asleep in the afternoon. It was a very rare and special time for me anyway.
